Every year we have a Music Week at Sunshine Terrace for all the residents. We do a concert with a different style of music each day. This year we did Broadway, American Favorites, Classical, and, of course- AMERICAN IDOL!!

Megan's school has a birthday "face drawing" tradition for the 5th graders. Since Megan has a summer b-day, the teacher did it this week- here's how it turned out!

Valentine Dance!

So, Megan had the big 5th grade VALENTINE'S DANCE last week. She was very nervous- they had been practicing the different dance styles in P.E. for the last month and she was assigned a partner- A BOY! It turns out he is just a good friend, so she didn't feel TOO uncomfortable! She got up very early so we could work on her hair- after a gallon of hairspray and gel, we finally got some curl into it. The curl lasted until about the end of school- by the time she got home, it was pretty much gone. Stick straight hair!

Megan and Darren- the master fishermen! The weather was especially nice- I think it got up to 40 Degrees on Sat. and Darren and Megan took advantage of it and went ice fishing to bring home dinner for us and maybe 40 other people! Look at the size of those fish!!! I'm not allowed to disclose the top-secret location of the fishing trip- otherwise I'd have to kill ya! :)

Christmas Day!

It's Christmas Day 2008- and we are SNOWED IN out in Cornish! We couldn't travel anywhere to visit family- we missed the Maughan brunch- BUMMER! I'm posting pictures to show how bad it is today- Fun for the "children" though!
